Rebound Straps for CBB

Well, I got my baby back on the road after her winter project of rebuilding the rear suspension and replacement of springs /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My problem is that the new rebound straps I bought on ebay split out of the bolts (one from the top and the other side from the bottom bolts) when I lifted the car off the jack stands /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Does anyone know a place to get a good rebound strap (or two if the price is right) for a chrome bumber MGB???

I heard on another BBS, that Moss had created a bad bunch of rebound straps. I don't know what you can do about it, I'm not sure if they are taking defective returns.

When I picked up some parts at moss including new rebound straps the first thing they did was tell me about the problem with the batch of straps not having the reinforcing cords in them. They did check the ones they brought out and told me if I had any problems to bring it back and they would replace them.

Moss shows them as N/A and has for some time...not available I guess because of the problem they had with these...my two I bought on Ebay had no reinforcement chords in them and broke just from the weight of the axle!

Thanks...lbcarco has them in stock and is shipping today. I even asked that they be sure that they have the reinforcement chords in them before they ship and got an nice email from Jeff confirming they had them.

Jeff and Jan who run LBCCar Co are friends of mine, we're members of the same car club. They run their business well and are really great to deal with, mainly because they turned their hobby into a business and their heart is in the right place.
