Good idea to have a change of colour, although you didn't really get very long to enjoy the previous colour scheme. Great to hear that the the insurance company are paying up. Good luck with the rebuild.
Guilty as charged! I haven't sprayed anything yet, but despite my initial reluctance I'm leaning heavily to original which was Silverstone on my 59. My first preference was actually what Dan used the first time so he can rightly claim I'm copying him too! But we clearly know that color attracts too many cars to it so its out of the picture now.
I might not be going with a red interior just yet, depending on what another helpful BCFer is sending my way in the form of a sample of a strange purple offering Triumph used. Fingers crossed at this point.
OUCH!!!!!!!!!! I don't feel so bad now, at least I can still drive the TR. I hope that no body was hurt.
I am going to see how the tan with white piping liioks with the silverstone color before I buy all new interior. I hope that it will look good, if not red or maybe Targo Purple
Dan
Here is a update on TS 37148L After our saturday morning drive and Sunday afternoon bar-b-que I started the tear down of the TR. I do a little bit each night after work. On Wednestday I dropped off the donor body TS23351L to the body guys, on thursday a couple friends stopped by to help with the removel of the body, It is now on the side yard. Chassie in the garage. I have been doing a little clean up of the chassie and new leaf spirings today. Ia getting ready to in stall Hermans 5-speed transmission. I will also go with a 12 inch puller fan, oil cooler and from Paul the proper feet for the brooklands aero screens.
We still haven't decided on silverstone grey or a couple of shades darker then before.
Dan
