you can always recognize the newbies...lots of questions! does anyone know if the modified healey forum is still maintained? tried to join but no response after about a week! i just purchased a 63 bj7 with a modified sbc stroker roller motor and built powerglise tranmission. the car is very well done and very stock appearing...i wish to keep it like that and continue to improve. the car has the stock healey 3.9 rear and a very high stall speed converter. guy i bought it from swore that it was just a cruiser on fair days! i am trying to decide if i should change out the converter...maybe 1600 rpm.. and convert to 3.54 ring and pinion. or, have an eight inch ford rear built and perhaps change to a 700r 4 aod transmission in the future. i do want to keep the current wheels which use the splined adaptors..so can the holes be welded up in the rear adaptors and new holes drilled for the 5 on 5 bolt pattern. any comments or suggestions are appreciated. the car is just for cruising and not racing.
