TR2/3/3A Rear Wing installation fun...................

In my rear wing installation kit I have 5 screws that are black. Are they to be used to fasten the wing inside of the boot lip?

Thanks, Tinkerman

Make sure they are not hex head bolts or they will distort the trunk lid when the hex bolts hit the paintwork inside the lid.

They must be truss head screws with a very shallow dome about 1/2" diameter across the domed head. The threads are usual 1/4"-28 UNF.

What I do on those re-wings if they do not fit is get a couple of bolts started then take some balling wire and put that through a bolt hole and loop the other end around the axle. Then take a wrench or something and put that in the loop the spin the wrench until the wire pulls things down and into place then put bolt in adjacent hole and cut the wire free.
A picture would probable help if you are not use to wiring and banding, but sorry to say I did not take one. Perhaps a google on balling wire and pulling concrete forms and scaffolding together would help if I am not clear.
