I have a question. As far as anyone knows were all rearview mirrors on bugeyes the same? Mine appears to have a very old mirror with a goldish color on the back. It almost reminds me of an MGA mirror. It also appears slightly smaller than other bugeye mirros I have seen.
 
I had the same mirror you discribe on a BE donor car however all BE's originally came with Eversure mirrors with the black krinkle finish.
 
My mirror is a repro, and is the gold colored one.
