Rear lights brighter than ever....

I finally got around to replacing the rear 1/2 of my wiring harness. I was having some issues with slow blinkers and dull lights. As told in a previous post, my turn signal switch had an abraded wire and was grounding out, which burned bulbs and caused me to have no right turn signal. Changed that as well. Anyway, installed the new harness and it is amazing how bright all my rear lights are now! All my grounding points were cleaned before and the brake light bulb holders had individual ground wires soldered to them (I was told they come this way now!) so grounding was never a problem. To me, it is probable that the 34-year-old harness had just gotten "crusty" and wasn't doing the job. Whatever, everything is bright, clear and crisp-working.

Got the harness in from Leslie right before she sold British Wiring. Hope the new guy does well.

Hey Bill, glad hear of your success.

When I installed the Dan Masters total car wire harness
last fall, I ended up having to solder ground wires to every single bulb holder in the car. One bulb to one ground wire.

After that, all the new bulbs functioned and brightly.
