A few rear end light bits arrived from Moss last night.
As soon as Shawns parts arrive, Amos will be back in
strrets OUTSIDE the hood racking up miles.

But I kinda like the retro-look of the colored 1950's
Maidenforms. ha,ha,ha,

Oh HIM! That's probably DPO Pedro sitting on his bits box..

I have a large box that I put representive broken pieces
and busted down bits from Pedro's "nearly 100% restored car.

When Amos hits 500 miles, I'm going to dump the entire mess
onto Pedro's front porch while he is at work. The busted
trailing arm also. I wish I hadn't thrown out the radiator.

Did you save the wood screws that Pedro used to put the lenses on with? We need to see them. The original self tapping screws make the lenses so fragile when removing them (you can hear them creaking) that I used a little silicone on each when putting them back together to keep them from cracking.

Pedro's lenses are crushed history. The new lenses, from
China, have no threads. I tapped them for #8 machine screws.

Er, ahh, er none of the lenses have threads. Self tappers were used in the lenses from the factory too.

Thanks Stirkle- thats good info to know.
That explains Pedro's wood screws.

If you did not get new gaskets between the brackets and the lenses, swap the right side assembly gray gaskets with the left (reversed) and you will get a new seal against the plastic lenses. Otherwise you will have the grooves from the old lenses that will surely let moisture in.

Exhaust fumes as well. Making the boot, and anything stored in it, really stinky.

NOt only moisture but exhaust, making anything stored in the boot really stinky. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/sick.gif

Hey Dale. Maybe a little bead of non hardening silicone sealer on that gasket, just in case it's a little weak? You don't want any water in there. Especially with the rain storms that you get down there!

We never did hear what happened to those tailights there Tinster.

all bits arrived today- Thanks Shawn!!!

Cleaned and dry fit for tomorrow

Shawn those lens must be worth a fortune. I hope dale has signed over Amos to you in the advent of an emergency

Dale, I think you should save ALL of DPO Pedros parts, and assemble him a TR6. You should be able to get him to pay premium money for an "ALL ORIGINAL NEVER RESTORED" car. We can ship you all the rusted/wrecked body panels, and you can send him off on his most deserved wild goose chase of his own.

Jesse,Welcome to the dark side, Rockville MD, Wife grew up in area and went to Perry High. You a local?

Nice use of expensive coffee table as well!

If you look at the picture, there is an "Orb" in front of the cat. What's going on down there? Is Crypty making another attempt to rise again?
