TR6 Rear Hub on a TR6 5 out of 6 studs enough?

Re: Rear Hub tork on a TR6

Way to go Larry!!

Congrats on a job well done.

I really envy you. 60 miles without
a breakdown!! I got 24 miles until a
breakdown after I installed the replacement
trailing arm. Fuel pump died on me.

Post some photos.

Maybe your good buddy Pedro didn't tap the hole in the first place and there were no threads to fail.

The key word here is "properly installed"

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/iagree.gif As with most things automotive, there are lots of ways to bung up a helicoil installation.

Re: Rear Hub tork on a TR6

Just a thought, would it be possible to drill all the way throught and put a bolt on the back with a longer stud? It looks possible but you would have to grind the back side flat to accept a bolt

Some of them are blind holes, unfortunately.
