TR2/3/3A Rear Fender Part

I know this part goes somewhere on/in the rear fender. Where/how is it installed? Can't figure it out. Thanks!

It is the rear most "nut" for the rear fender.The rear most screw for the fender that is located with the trunk open near the tail light. The captive nut is located forward and the extension on the part to the rear--in a horizontal orientation.

Thanks for the link to the pictures. I had noticed the holes in the trunk drip rail but didn't associate them with these parts. Since I didn't know what they were couldn't search for the old posting either. The forum is great.
