TR2/3/3A Rear end locked up

Got it running. Sounds nice.

Rear wheels roll when it's off the ground but totally locked up when it's on the ground. When I spin one wheel, the other wheel spins in the opposing direction.

Had to drag it up the trailer with a winch. No idea how I'm going to get it off.

Any idea what might be going on?
 
That is a symptom of the tranny not being in neutral...or locked up for some reason. If you cannot unlock it, you can disconnect the drive shaft so you are able to move it. The rear is accessible from under the car...better than removing at the front. The front is accessible from inside the car, but will leave the shaft rattling as you move the car.
 
I notice you OD, in which case, the sliding member clutch may be stuck. Unbolting the driveshaft at the diff should eliminate the diff as the culprit.

Geez, of course. Y'all are good. You even noticed the OD detail. I knew it was along those lines but couldn't quite grasp it. I did remove the bolts back there and try to free up the freeze up but couldn't. Before it sat, the clutch would engage but it hasn't over for about a year and a half and now the pedal goes to the floor with zero tension. Fluid chamber full enough.


My dad would've known what is was even before it happened. I sure do wish he was around...he was the TR3 OG.
 
If it is the OD ring stuck, then the car will roll forward, but not backwards. Even with the clutch stuck engaged, you should be able to pop it into neutral and at least get forward motion. If you cannot get it into neutral, then you have an internal tranny issue...could be as simple as the shift rods stuck in gear.
