Rear Crank Seal Conversion Problem

I just finished rebuilding my TR-4 motor. I did the rear crank seal conversion which I thought was a great idea. I wish I would have stayed with the orig.
The car leaks about a drop every 8 sec. when it gets hot. I have now re-pulled the motor to replace this seal (payen brand). Has anyone had better luck with another brand? I followed the directions exactly as written.

Thanks for your time

I seem to recall hearing that specified diameter to grind the crank supplied with at least one crank seal conversion kit was incorrect. I hope that's not your problem, but worth checking into if it is leaking badly.

you can cut the spring inside the rubber seal to a shorter length to tighten up the lip against the crank.
