Rear Brake Rotors

Tadek,

When I had White Post here in the States sleeve the cylinders I have, I asked what else these were fitted on. One guy told me only Healeys, I found that hard to believe, another said they were used on XK150's, and Ferraris. Not exactly junkyard donors.

if you go to napa and look at there brake catalog
they list rotors by bolt pattern off set mount type and diamter find what is close then look up the part number to see vehicle i have this catalog works great for finding somthing to work with

Well, I am not sure yet, but I believe the dunlop calipers are interchangable, weather it's a XK, Mk2, XKE. The difference is definitely in the fingers for the handbrake: E-type and XJ fingers were longer so as to clear the rear subframe when they changed to independant susp, the Mk2 were shorter, and those are presumably the ones that fit the Healey.

I have a Mk 9. Those rotors won't work.

Hello Tadek,

Yes there is a difference in the "fingers" for the handbrake. Depending on the year Dunlop calipers had an automatically adjustable handbrake mechanism. ie the Jag Mk2 did.

Hi Guys, I posted this earlier but I will say it again. You won't find a cheap solution to finding a rear brake rotor that will fit over the rear hub/axle flange of your Healey. I sell massaged BMW rotors that will do the trick for $175 each. I have them machined and re-drilled in quantity to get the price down. I also sell the rear caliper mounting brackets for this rear brake conversion - $140 for a pair of brackets.
