I found the right rear cylinder leaking and will be replacing it shortly along with the other side for good measure. Are there any other parts besides the cylinder I will need or or other parts that I should replace while doing it.

Also do the brakes on the MGB's contain asbestos? These are the original factory rear brakes. If they do what is the best way to deal with the possible dust?
 
Use brake parts cleaner to rinse brake dust away (do not use compressed air). New shoes maybe in order if brake fluid has leaked on them. If the rubber brake hose is original it may need replacing. Drums may need turning. DOT4 brake fluid. Patience for installing the circlip. This is all I can think of without looking at the brakes themselves.
 
When I do mine, I'm going to replace the axle seal also since it's cheap insurance and I'll be right there anyway...

I went ahead and ordered shoes, the brake hose, and new springs and extra c clips as I have a habit of launching them into oblivion and axle seals. Went out this morning and found a puddle under the left side so it looks like I was going to have to replace both anyways. Looks like the week after Christmas is going to be busy.
 
I use gasoline to clean brake parts and it also cleans up the shoes so you can continue using them. Just remember to not smoke and do this at the same time.

Sometimes new brake shoes are not obtainable without a lot of trouble & expense. Clean them with brake cleaner. Put the shoes in an oven at 400 degrees for a couple of hours. Any remaining oil bakes out to the surface. Clean again with brake cleaner while they are hot. I went through soaked brake linings twice while trying to solve a rear axle seal problem. The cleaned shoes are still working fine two years later.
