Hi Money Pit,
I used 2 part epoxy caliper paint, silver. (got it from Moss)I used it on the front calipers and the rear drums. It is a brush on paint. Actually very easy to do, and no masking off and overspray as with a spray can.
Reason for epoxy paint? Because it can stand up to heat and cleaning the wheels once in a while with a light acid wheel cleaner.
Consider how much work it is to clean all those spokes.
Very easy clean now. Spray the wheels with a garden hose, spray with acid wheel cleaner, wait one minute, rinse with the garden hose, and dry off.
My wheels are chrome with stainless spokes.
Not sure I would use acid with painted spokes, unless power coat painted.
Good luck with your decision.
