Rear Brake Adjuster Tappet Needed

Might anyone have a spare brake adjuster tappet for a hypoid axle car they would be willing to part with for reasonable cost? This is the cylindrical part of the brake adjuster with a slot in one end that presses up against the brake shoe and allows the brake adjustment to be carried out. While trying to track down why I couldn't get a good brake adjustment on my car I decided to clean and free up the adjuster to only find one of the tappets is completely missing. I'd rather not spend for a whole new adjuster if someone has a spare. TIA.

If a lister does not have one . Try British Car specialties or Healey Surgeons and see if they have a used adjuster that can be obtaned reasonably and use the parts from it.

Thanks, Keoke. That'll be the next step. In a different thread on rear brake problems 57 BN4 offered this sage advice:

shouldn't really matter as the effective length doesn't change. The two wedges in the adjuster are #12 and #17 in the drawing, are they installed? They fall out all the time when you put the shoes on.

Man knows what he's talking about. BTW, I accept no responsibility for the missing tappet thing, this was a DPO deal
