Need to know what the axle ratios are for MGB's and MGC's. Also whether or not they will all transpose. As well, is it necessary to change the rear axle housing to go to wire wheels? Thanks for the help Dave

all Bs are 3.9 to 1, the C's had a ratio something like 3.3. And the wire wheel housing is a different width than the steel wheel housing. You can just change the hubs but your wheels will rub

B's were 3.9; C's were 3.1 or 3.7, depending on transmission set-up.

To go from steel wheels to wire wheels, the entire rear end has to be changed as the wire wheel rear end is narrower than the steel rear end.

MGC = 3.07 3.7 and 3.31

The 3.07 were the very early cars

The 3.7 the 4spd and 4spd O/D

The 3.31 were the automatic boxes.
