Rear Axle oil

Hello guys,
I am now driving and enjoying my Healey.
Now it's all about keeping up with the maintenance.
Per my prior post I am currently replacing the transmission oil to Redline MT-90 as recommended here.

Today I will feel where the oil level is in the rear axle.
Being I don't know what oil was put in there by the PO, I am not sure what I should add. Is mixing different brands and weights ok?

It maybe a good time to simply replace it. I will then know what's in there.

What do you guys recommend, and how many quarts?
Thank you,
Roger

Hi Roger, Unit holds 3.6 US Pints. I like and use Lucas 85/140 Plus Gear Oil.--Fwiw--Keoke

P.S. Drain it and refill with fresh.
