While I was replacing the rear springs I took off the DPO's installed rear anti-roll bar.
In doing so, I thought it was strange that he had drilled the frame, to install rather rectangular shaped u-bolts to hold the bar bushings and bar to the frame. There were long bolts fitted through reducing washers in the trailing arm rear spring holder to connect the bar ends.
However looking at the rear anti-roll bar kits for sale it would appear that this is the general mounting method.
Is that correct?
I see in Kastner's racing book, he describes using the mounting fixtures and bolting them to a L shaped mounting bracket which is welded to the frame and using the links and L brackets for the bar ends.
Any short comings to the u-bolts through the frame method?
I was thinking of doing half and half. Use the links on the bar ends per Kastner and the u bolts through the frame for the bar mounting as there are already there if it is ok.
