Greetings all. Just a bit of support/props for Rocky, my JOC regional bud, the silver one is mine. Acquired off BaT in Feb. Some research seems to show it appeared at the 2005 Out of the Woodwork meet. There is a mention of Roy Stumpf of WI's freshly restored Silver Vixen 2500 w/ a Chevy 327 that was installed by the previous owner (some pics that came with the car show it undergoing Roy's resto and it clearly has the 327 in it during teardown). Have not ever seen/heard of another Vixen era car w/ a 327, so I am pretty sure the car mentioned is the one above. It came from Green Bay, WI and had been donated to benefit the seller?? - a nonprofit.

It has what appears to be an L79 327 (350HP) coupled to a WC T5 trans and the rest of the driveline is stock appearing w/ no LSD :-(( 1 tire fire when you punch it. lots of HP in an 1850ish lb car is fun. tho not sure it will stay in my collection as I did buy another Vixen, LVX1745/6T, the yellow one discussed in "the first Vixen" thread here in the forum.
lovely car cosmetically, but suffering from too much sitting/lack of use/some questionable small repairs and "upgrades". to be expected i suppose, but despite many years of working on British cars, i have no real history with TVR's. So i was not really aware of where the yellow car had been hiding, and in truth, really had no expectation my bid would win the auction. so, there will be some refreshing needed to get this car on the road reliably - no big deal, just delays the fun of driving it.
in the end VERY happy to end up owning this TVR Vixen 2500.
