REAL Cruise,& Car Show

They had the BIG local car show this last weekend,
starting with a Friday night cruise.
I was planning on attending, but it POURED rain for a
few hours,so I decided not to.I drove home on the road that
the cruise was supposed to be held on,& was surprised to see
a number of cars parked along the route, including a Mini pickup,
& saw a Spitfire driving in the opposite direction (wipers were stuck).
I went to the car show on Saturday, where there were about
three British cars, including the Mini pickup. The owner was encouraging
kids to sit in it,which I thought was great!
It also started to rain, which meant most entrants left early. It was
a benefit for the Virginia Museum of Transportation.I felt bad that they
weren't able to raise as much money, due to the weather.

My wife and I encourage kids to sit in our cars if they show an interest and are with their parents. Hopefully it'll create a spark that will stay with them.

Many of our Club members do the same, and we try to hold our shows in public areas to generate interest. Last time I had a young guy's girlfriend sit behind the wheel so he could take her picture. Definitely a future buyer.

I should explain about the title. It struck me that there was so much water,
it was like a sea cruise.
My Wife keeps bugging me to take her "on a cruise",but I think she's referring
to a ship,of which I have ZERO interest in doing.
