I am going to replace the tires before I put the TR6 back on the road. I have just about narrowed the search down to 205/75 15 or 195/75 15. I want to stay as close to the original size as possible. If my research is correct, The 205's are a bit taller and the 195's are a bit smaller.

I have not driven the car enough to make a determination on handling etc. The car will be a fun driver and probably not driven as aggressively as some of you guys drive. s

Any advice or opinions appreciated, Pete

I couldn't find a turns per mile value for 195/75-15 tires; in fact I couldn't find them for sale.

But it looks like 215/70-15 would be closer than 205/75. My TR6 handbook gives 482 rpm @ 10 mph, which translates to 781.6 turns per mile at the wheels. 205/75 is 769 tpm; 215/70 is 777 tpm.

Not that either one is off by enough to really notice at the speedometer; we're only talking 1 or 2 percent difference here.

every tire is different. you need to look at the diameter of the tire you are looking at. I don't think 215's will fit a tr6 without flares. 205's will. I don't know what the stock O.D. of tr6 tires are but the tr4 was 25.4". 195/65-15
work out pretty close but the most important thing is they exist and in not too bad of choices.
