I've added some "reaction" icons that you can select to indication your feelings about a particular post (e.g., thumbs up or "love" or "sad", etc. Each member has something called a "reaction score" (don't take it too seriously - it's just for fun). If you click on someone's avatar you get a pop up window that shows information such as how many posts they have made, etc. Included in this pop up is that person's "Reaction Score".
Reaction scores are accumulated when people "react" to your post. There are several different icons you can select to react to a post. Some reactions add points to the poster, some are neutral and one, the thumbs down, actually subtracts from the members reaction score. The different reactions and their respective "scores" are seen below: (note that I've added a couple, such as agree, disagree and trophy.)
IMPORTANT: If you disagree or dislike the contents of an article or and what to express your disagreement or displeasure with the article, but don't want to "ding" the poster (i.e., you don't want to shoot the messenger) then select something like disagree or angry or sad - which will show your reaction but won't subtract reaction points for the poster. If you choose "Dislike" (The red thumbs down) that is the only reaction that will actually subtract points from the poster, so use that sparingly.
