Re-chroming or New parts?

Is it cheaper to have parts re-chromed or to simply by new parts from Moss/VB? I am redoing my dash on a 65 Midget, and have some pitting on the chrome bezels, as well as other small interior parts. Should I have them re-chromed or simply buy new ones?
 
I would think that for interior parts, it would be better to buy new. However, the quality of exterior chrome reproductions might not be worth the money. It might be better to rechrome the original items like bumpers and such. Just my two cents.

With the current EPA laws, chroming is far from cheap, but the quality of some of the reproduction stuff is horrid. I had my rear bumpers, overriders, the vent window frames, and the rear quarterlight frames for the GT6 re-done about six years ago to the tune of 600 bucks.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy new gauge bezels though.
