Re-attaching the hood

What I learned today is that it is well nigh impossible, even with two people, to re-attach the hood on the TR6. Until you take the front grille off, and then it become a trivial, one man job: you just place the hood down in position on the car, and reach through the grille aperture and attach the bolts.

I'm sure this is well know here, but thought I'd mention it anyway.

Also, a garden hammock makes for an excellent temporary support for a heavy hood that you are just about to drop through arm fatigue.
 
I learned how to attach the bonnet the hard way on my GT6.
