HI all
Just a short note to let you all know I have the 58 sprite back on the road. Put in a rebuilt rib tranny and a 1275 front damper pulley, new front seal and new gaskets.
Now I just have 2 problems one is my Rattle limiter is gone. I used this rattle as a point to back off on the gas. The other is, it no longer marks it territory.
I now have a smooth ride and I hope the whine in the gears quites after it runs in a bit.
Thanks again for all your help.
Time to paint it.

I use the point at which passengers start checking their seat belts and/or holding onto the windshield frame! Always worked fine... =D

I back off when I start to slide out of the seat without a seat belt. With a seat belt I have never found a need to back off, a Bugeye is controlable right up to the time it spins and even then, because of the low power, that is controlable.

I will send pictures after I paint it. last time it was painted was 30 years ago and has not seen a garage during that time
Just a rain tarp.
but there is one problem and I think it is the timming chain cover did not seal right as it is now marking its territory again.
I will check closer to make sure then get back in there and r n r the cover
Thanks
