Fairhope, AL meet is today. I printed up directions late last night thinking I can sneek out ealy this a.m and be there in 2.5 hrs but my wife needs me to help her raku this morning. Our 5th annivesary was yesterday so looks like I'll be around the house for a while. I don't think I'll be able to make it as it ends a 4:00 pm

Oh well.

.......but....there is a gun show this weekend....

Times like this I appreciate having married a gun totin' ferrin car nut!

I might be able to make it, she said she just needs me for an hour which'll be till 11:00. I've got the car loaded and backed up to the kiln. As soon as I drop the lid on the reduction chamber I'M GONE !!!!!

DrEnthropy, I've always liked your sig. "My" MG is actually belongs to my wife also.
( Never say "happy birthday" to your wife while she's driving the LBC you bought for yourself) :wall:

Left out only to be caught up in construcion for a LONG time. I didn't want to chance making a trip for nothing as time was short. Took a detour that led past my aunt's house. Stopped in for a visit and some KILLER pasta. On the way there, spotted a Midget, pulled in and what do you know....it's for sale !!!

Called the # but no response yet. I have a feeling it'll be higher than it's worth due to the area that it's in.

Got sent home w/ killer pasta for wife and was a hero for bringing lunch home.

The car doesn't look bad. It has bondo in the usual and rust by the rear spring perches. I'll pick it up if the price is right. It's been sitting a while and the "for sale" sign looks new. It was laying down iin the seat so I don't think they'll get much action. I'll keep y'all posted.

maybe I'll get my own LBC after all !!! (Although in the past 6 years and 8,000 mile, she's only driven it 3 times)

I'm betting it was over by 2:30pm because of AL v TN ball game.

Talked to the guy about the other car. He broke the bolt off in ther starter for the wire because he thought it was loose. The car wouldn't start so he started cranking down on the bolt.

He wants $2000 for it. Supposed to get a starter for it and has an ad comming out in the paper soon. I'm a buyer for around $1000, but no where near 2k. Someone else will probably pick it up.

LOL I thought this was about PackRats!! I have had over $1000 of damage to my cars this summer in 3 incidents. Now all our cars get parked with the hoods open and they haven't returned...... Yet... Only problem is that it looks like a bunch of hillbillies have taken up residence with all the car engines exposed.

I use a car cover that cats pee'd on for my racecar and it seems to work well......smelly but well.

The pee was already on it so I figured "why not".
