I was working on the oil cooler last night as in the post below and I noticed I forgot to put the line from the thermostat to the radiator (no antifreeze in car right now) and I noticed a horrible smell coming out of the radiator, took the cap off and it was even worse. So I took the radiator out of the car went outside and started shaking it, figuring a mouse climbed in there and died, hoped it wouldnt be bad so i could flush it and be OK.
When i started shaking it, a ton of little maggots came flying out of it. That had to be about the worst thing Ive seen come out of any of the parts and the smell was even worse, seeing as this car sat for over 35 years. Anyway, i have another radiator and I am going to make sure that all the lines are hooked up this time. Stupid mice, at least it didnt get into the engine.
