Ratco Throttle Linkage

Great write up! I'm thinking it will work, since the inner sheet metal and throttle arm is the same. The only question would be on the carb end bracket, but the Rat-co site says it works with Webers (which I'm switching to), so that end seems OK too.

Almost forgot....welcome to the forum.

Thanks!

Does the instructions for the Rat-co linkage show how the bracket installs on Webers? Their site says it support both dual and triple Webers, though it doens't say DGV or DCOEs. I don't think you would want to hang it on the carb mounting studs, as that would interfere with the anti-vibration mounts.

The kit definately would work on a TR4A with SU HS6s.

The bottom bracket does mount to the two bottom bolts of a carb, which can be on top of the carb, so it should not interfere with anything else.

The difference is that the soft mounts for webers are left "loose", there is a Thackary washer, which is basically a spring, which leave some pressure so the carbs can move a little. So the bracke would also be free to move a little. There may be some other place on the manifolds to mount, though.

Quick update. My new intake manifolds have holes tapped into the flange under where the carb mounts, so I'm planning to use them to mount the bracket. Also, the instructions from Ratco do indicate that this kit will work on the "TR4A IRS", even though the information page says "6 cyl Triumphs". I would think it would work on any TR4/TR4A as well.

Anyway, mine has been ordered!

You won't be sorry. If you have any questions along the way, just email me.

It would be nice if you did a pictorial as well, for the Weber installation.

Wonder if it will work with the trip Mikunis???

From the look of the Mikuni's on their website, someone is going to be fabricating some linkage to go between the carbs and a bellcrank to open them in unison.

How are you planning to fit these to the RG trip manifold, Don?

OH-oh!! Potential thread hi-jack in progress!!
