Ratcheting wrenches! YES!

As long as we are on the topic of must-have tools, I'll also vote for one of these. I swapped carbs between my two TR3s Saturday, and this worked great for the 16 nuts holding the carbs to the manifolds. Also works slick for doing the fuel pump R&R.

PS, my thanks again to Justin Wagner for suggesting this solution.

Huh?!? Randall, I've sets of 1/4" drive "wobblies" like that, had 'em for years. 6 point MAC ones. Are those different?

There are deep ones in that configuration as well.

Probably not. But I didn't have a set, and would not have thought to buy one without Justin's suggestion. Since the U-joint is smaller than the socket body (only on the 1/4" drive version), it clears the carb/pump body where other tools won't. I thought perhaps others might have the same lack of vision (clearly that doesn't apply to you  )

Workin' on those "other" cars would be next to impossible without 'em. Eurotrash engineers like to HIDE fasteners behind stuff to frustrate us. Those wobblies and some curved wrenches are the answer. They're a treat.

"Other" cars: Porch-ee and Ferrutzi.
