That is an original factory colour scheme. In fact my car was originally those colours when sold new. And that was in the UK which is even more unusual.

UOC 741, a BN4, the first "factory" rally car, '57 Mille Miglia car and first car with the 6-port head was in that color combination.

I never really thought about it before, but I wonder why the concours standards allow a color change from what the original color as delivered with?

Wasn't the Barbie AH that color? I remember playing with one that was green. (What else you gonna do when your older cousins are girls and all the rest of the kids are babies?)

We have a 100-6 in our club with that colour scheme. It belongs to our club president. When Paul bought the car back in the eighties it was dark green. He stripped the paint and found that it was originally finished in the two-tone green so that is the colour that it had to be.

My wife still has her original "survivor" Barbie Healey. Truth be told, I wish my restored (actually, three__3__times already) Healey was in as mint of condition as her Barbie Healey__the chrome, the windscreen, all perfect.

She said she was always gentle with her toys; guess that's why I'm still around...

Why do you say that? While I don't particularly like the combo, I have to admit it is eye catching.
