Rare Austin Healey Grey Color

I'm in the process of restoring my 1953 BN1. After closer investigation it is apperrant that the car was originally Austin Helaey Grey (not Gun metal grey). Since this color is so rare I want to see if anybody else has a car like that and I could get some pictures.

Greetings Rolf

The Heritage Certificate for my '53 BN1 says that it was Healey Grey, so I have been wondering about it, too. I've sanded through many layers of paint in a few out of the way places, and the bottom color looks black! Also the hidden, hard to paint areas are black. Is there any original paint on your car?

The Austin Healey Restoration Guide by Anderson and Moment says: "At least one BN1 was produced in 'Healey Gray' for which no color information is availble; Pikovnik believes it might have been another ICI color called 'Ice Blue' offered in 1953 and 1954, which was slightly darker than Ice Blue Metallic with no metal flakes. This has not been verified." Not much help...
