Rain, Rain Go Away

It started Wednesday & hasn't stopped since!

I put a full sized wheel barrow out in front of the garage Thursday morning - & I've emptied it twice & it'll overflow again tonight! Farmers can't get into fields to plant crops; stream on edge of my property is 10' out of its normal boundary because of the runoff from the mountain behind me; and lots of roads around here are under water..

This rain in the Northeast is my fault. I picked up Fagin on Friday from the shop, and it has rained every day since. When I see a break in the rain and take the car out, it starts to rain while I am on the road, and the wipers on the TR3 make me laugh when they are trying to do some good...

Tony, when did you move to the NW? :jester:
I also have been wondering why we're getting your weather!

Getting tired of it here too Tony. Had to pick up a Midget this morning and got soaked. No end in sight I hear. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday all call for Rain. Thursday and Friday, chance of thunder showers.

Yepper...and every bit of it has come through here and more to come!!!!

Dang - send it down Tony, we're dry as a bone down here. Listening to the scanner over the weekend I heard several brushfires being dealt with in the town closest to me.

Still no let up & the paper says its gonna rain at least through Saturday!

Tony...yer not gettin involved with any of that ternatic activity are ya??

Monsoon still upon us here on the island.
No let-up predicted until at least next Monday.

We managed two TR6 drives in the past two weeks.
Mostly heavy rain every day.

Dry as a popcorn f*rt here. And we're into th' "rainy season". My plants are all wilting, my backyard "jungle" is bein' burnt. Water restrictions are only secondary to the "backyard fire" ordinance. Any smoke is IMMEDIATELY addressed by a visit from the local fire department... and Tony's drownin'.

I'm gonna hunt that aquifer we have under us.

Our average rainfall for an entire year is 50 inches - to date this year, we've already had 40 inches!

Some tornadic activity but flooding is more prevalent....I've had to change some of the routes I take because some county roads are under water.

I got to finally mow the grass this afternoon, and it was higher than I like for mowing. Then this evening we went to the first game of a double header of the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs hosting the Buffalo Bisons (Phillies vs. Mets AAA teams). We left after the first game and it started to drizzle as we left the stadium, and on the radio driving home they announced that the second game was in rain delay. It is to rain again tonight. At least we got about a 20 hour break...

We've had plenty-o-rain this spring. Creeks are well above their banks.

I've got five aces and about 1/2 acre is still too wet to mow...I got the Ransome stuck twice today...used the tractor once to pull it out and my F-150 once.

Frustrating.
