Hi Gang,
The radio in my healey is the original and it picks up stations, but the volume is very low at it's top setting. I thought I would try to change out the speaker because of its condition, but I'm not sure where to get one.Does anyone know of a place or link to buy a new speaker? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
Bobby R

Hi Bobby, Just about any auto / Audio store that sells auto electronics or a good audio srore should be able to provide you with a speaker. Take your old one with you so that the frame size can be matched. If they ask you what impedance you want tell them 8 Ohms--Keoke-AZ- :cowboy:

Hi Keoke,
I had the feeling you would have the answer I needed. It's good that you are back online again.I have a ton of questions for you ,but because of my age, I can't remember them right now. I hope everything is going good for you. Thanks for your response.

Well Bobby, You better hurry up with those questions cuz what ever it is you got is contagious---Keoke---

Auto stores don't always carry the small size needed. Take the old one in with you cause it is very small compaired to the normal auto radio. I went through that last summer. I connected a jack and use head phones along with the speaker.

Hi Bobby,
Check the back of your old speaker. It might just say what the ohm spec is. Could be 4 ohms instead of the 8.

4 into 8 is OK. 4 into 4 is OK. 8 into 8 is OK, 8 1nto 4 no go--Keoke---

Good point Greg, it may show up on the receiver case if time has not eradicated it.

Bobby, maybe the problem is your hearing and not the speaker <rimshot>.

Anyway, speakers come in all shapes and sizes, there are several online companies that specialize in AV equipment, you will be able to find what you need there.
