Radiator Shroud Question

Well, we're trying to test-fit everything in place before getting the car into bodywork. We can't figure out how the radiator shrouds (air ducts?) fit. Can anyone tell me how they fit?

Thanks
Brian

The car is a 1962 BT7.

I don't have a picture, but they fit on each side of the the radiator with the narrow part at the top and the wider part on the bottom. They butt up against the edge of the shell where the fins start. If you could narrow your question it might help.
Check out this on Moss Motors web site:

Not an easy job fitting all to the shroud, but doable.

My car is missing the shrouds. Who makes good ones?

Check out Moss Motors. You could probably make your own from sheet metal if you're not trying to be original.

Great question Brian.
I just picked one up from Moss and was wondering the same thing

Thanks for the responses!

Johnny, that picture you posted is just what I was looking for! I'm guessing that the lower mounting holes bolt to the grille mounting tabs that are riveted to the front cowl. Is this correct?

Yes, but the bolt is actually a stud with a hex head in the middle of its length. Check out the drawing HERE and look at #75.

Check out the AH Club of Manitoba webb site,ahca.ca. Their newsletter of June 07 starting on page 6 has a great article on grille installation including the shroud. It was posted here some months back. Have a good day!
