OK....here is my problem. I want to pull the radiator out for cleaning but the bolts look like they go up from the bottom. I can't see how to get them out. The moss motors picture breakdown show them coming in from the top. What is the norm? Anybody got some good photos of this area?

Some time that "wobbly" comes in handy

JP,
Yes, they go up from below. There are threads in the radiator brackets. You can run a smaller diameter bolt through and have a nut on the end. Mine had that on the drivers side - makes it easier to get a socket in that tight spot.
I'm going to get a wobbly and put it back correctly.

Thanks for all the suggestions and photos....

OK so today was the battle and it was a beast. I assume that wobbly would work if I had of got access to the radiator kick plate removed but I did not. I could only get a wrench in the tight little space and 1/8 of a turn at a time. Fun fun fun...

So somewhere along the way the bolt on one side was the correct one and the other side had been changed out to a bolt and nut 1/2 inch. So tomorrow I take the trip to drop off the radiator for cleaning/testing.

This is after the battle...

When I dropped off my radiator, the shop took off the steel Coventry ID plate and threw it away. I was a bit PO'd. If you want to keep yours, you might want to let them know when you drop it. Just a thought...

Hi There JP,

Man, Your Engine Bay sure does look familiar!!

Regards, Russ

Hmm....pretty quick turn around....Repaired some cracks by the filler neck. reattached the coventry tag and replaced the drain valve. Cleaned and pressure tested.....now just have to paint.

Picking up tomorrow....paint won't be here for a couple days.
