Radiator Install...

Trying to install my radiator at the moment, and am having trouble getting the shroud to line up. I get the bottom holes to line up just fine, but when it comes to the top holes, it will not go back far enough to line up with the vertical bracket that comes from the frame. Instead, the splash guards that are on each side of the shroud keep hitting the side of the shroud, stopping it.

Does this make any sense?

Just a guess -- I've noticed a diff between crossflow (late 60's to 74) and standard (pre 1965 or so). Did you pay attention to this. I'm sure others can elaborate more on this.

Wish I could be of more help.

Maybe this will help explain:

The circled area is where the shroud and the splash guard are hitting each other. I do not even know if I have any of this installed correctly...

There is a bracket that the bolt also has to go through. You may have missed it. Pull the bolts out and push the splash guard over. It is aggravating, but the next time you have to fight it things will be easier.
