Radiator hoses

When using a 948 radiator with a 1275 which replacment water hoses do I use? My 1275 has a different thermostat housing that points the hose in the correct direction but according to the Moss catalog the top and bottom hoses are different between the engines. The top one makes sense given the differences in the radiators.

Basically I need clerification from someone who knows for sure. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Ben,
Use the 948 hoses and thermostat housing.

The 1275 housing should point it (top hose) to the port side of the car, the 948 top hose should go in the starboard side of the radiator.
Agree w/ Chris, you'll need the top switched, or get a 1275 radiator. I'll have one (radiator) available in a few weeks if you need one.

Is it for the midget or the bugeye?
If bugeye, bear in mind that the pressure is higher and uses less fluid, so an expansion tank will be needed, and possibly the cowl to bolt on to.
I have a metal crossover tube also I can throw in if needed.

The 948 house will do then, and the regular moss vb hose from the outlet to the radiator will be your replacement.
vb # is 2-605, moss is 470-370.

As mentioned, if anyone wants a good (x-flow) radiator, metal crossover tube and a 1275 thermostat house, they're willing to be adopted to a good home in a few weeks.
