Radiator fan motor - rebuild?

Coming back from NATC on Saturday in my 80 Spitfire I could hear a slight sqealing sound from time to time. When I got home I found that it is the radiator fan motor that is making the noise, a dry bushing type of noise. Can the fan motor be rebuilt? Do any of the vendors sell parts/bushings to rebuild the fan motor? If not, are new ones available?

I'd check out Moss and Victoria for new. But if it were me I'd check Team Triumph, he has loads of recycled Triumph parts 330-392-7276. Ask for Scott, a very cool guy.
 
If it comes apart easily, then you probably can repair it. If the shaft or bearing aren't worn then a bit of grease will probably solve the problem for quite a while.
The cooling fan on my fridge starts screeching every few years (usually at 1:00AM) and so far three times a dab of grease on the shaft bearing has solved the problem for longer than the original from the factory grease.
If you do need a fan, I would take a look at one of the many fans that either Summit Racing / Jegs or what ever other supplier has to offer. Probably will pull more air and use less current than the old fan.
 
The brushes are servicable but made of unobtanium; they sometimes appear on eBay. The fan removes from the mount with three bolts. Pull it out, then remove the fan. Lube the bushing and check the brushes.
