TR4/4A Radiator Duct Cowl Shroud

Nice thanks. I may need to access a friend's band saw but, looks great!

I replaced the original shroud with a repop cardboard shroud about 20 years ago. The fit and performance is fine. I've always been happy with how the car performs during our summer days in central California.

Hi All

Fast forward 13 months, I ended up purchasing the Moss aluminum radiator shroud (#855-138) on sale. Arrived today and looks great in the black crinkle finish. I have yet to fit but, it is deeper than the current duct installed in the car now.

Recall, I have a plastic radiator duct purchased from Vicky Brit in 2012. It is 8" deep at the top, leaving a rather large 2" gap around the radiator. This new duct is 9" deep. So, at the very least I can reduce the gap by 50% to 1". Additionally, the holes for the mounting nuts/bolts are slotted with 3/4" play. So, once I go to install, I'll see if this allows me to reduce the duct-to-radiator gap down to 0.25".

We have a "Winter Weather Warning" for tomorrow. Predicted 12"-15" of snow with winds up to 50mph (blizzard-like). So, fair to say it will be a few weeks before I can install this and report back.

Bob
