Radiator caps on older style radiators?

I have an old Stant cap on my downflow radiator that came from my MK1 Midget.

The part that seals is farther away from the cap part by at least 1/4 inch from the caps they have at the parts place.
Anyone seen these before?

Anyone know where to get a replacement? I have heard the ones from the usually suspects are not long enough on the plunger part with the spring and the seal at the bottom.

Since I have the Datsun engine behind this I need something with about a 14 pound pressure rating and the one that came on the Midget was only 7 pounds.

I got mine from usual suspect (moss) & it fit / worked fine, been in use for over 2 years now.

Good auto parts store with people that have outgrown pimple's should be able to source them for you. I got one locally a couple of years ago but could'nt get the low pressure one I wanted.

Kurt.
