I have what is termed "Storage, Transit & Paddock" coverage on my Elva and there is a specific exclusion as follows: "No coverage will be provided while participating in a timed racing event." When an "event" begins might be up for interpretation but for sure once I've left the grid it has begun.
BTW see new paint scheme in the attached photo--I did this after I removed the bumpers, one of which was cracked at the Lime Rock Vintage Festival when a fellow in a 356 rear-ended me during Saturday's race. He had a big dent in the nose of his car.
