Racing Sprite in SC on Food Channel

My wife was watching the food channel last night and spotted a Sprite. It was parked on the edge of a BBQ cooking contest at a Festival in Greenwood, SC. Maybe someone in Hap's area might know about it. It was a dark blue with a very strong looking roll bar. It looked to be about a '64 or so Sprite. The roll bar was mostly black, but the drivers side of the roll bar had a wide red band around the upright. I could not see the hood very well, but it appeared to have a NAPA decal on most of the hood/bonnet. Wonder what a racing Sprite was doing at a BBQ contest. Anyone know?

Local BBQ a sponsor of the car?

And he has Acme power under the hood too . Thats Red Bordner, he lives in Boiling Springs, SC just on the outskirts of Spartanburg. I done Red's engine now for about 6-7 years, he has won the Walter Mitty vintage races in his class many times. Red is multi state (SC) BBQ champ and quite well known at the race tracks because he bring his smoker to track with him, at our last race, Red drove his vintage stock car instead of his Midget, as always we all pitted together. Red is quite the character, not many racer do you know, who come in from a session , get out of the race car and run to check the cooker to see how the BBQ is going . Last race along with all my other crew chief duties, I had to make sure the ribs were unwrapped, sauced again and then flipped at the precise time, while Red was out racing the stock car. Yep, at the track , not only do I have to be expert at tuning SU carbs and race engine at the track, but I need to know how to sauce and flip the ribs and boston butts as well  The day I had to flip the ribs I had another engagement to go to with a car sponsor, the whole time I was there, I was hoping I'd get back in time to get in on those ribs, but as it turned out by the time I got back Brian Johnson (lead singer for the rock band AC/DC) and his crew had ate all the ribs, those dang rocking-rollers, like I said Red is quite the well known person at the race track. Brian was doing a docmentry on his rock star life and also being a racer, and was filming that weekend, so I heard there will actual film evidence of him eating my ribs :madder:

Here's pic of Red, when the car was gold, Red is on the left, that is Matt McSwain on the right, he was our co-driver in the some of the enduros, at the time of the photo he was Ryan Newman's (Nascar cup driver)car chief.
