I haven't seen this mentioned here before, hopefully I'm not regurgitating an old topic... anyway, I just rented the IMAX movie "Super Speedway". It was really, really good - worth renting if you can get ahold of it (netflix has it). The film is centered around Mario and Michael Andretti, talks a lot about their family life - and relationship. But it also has a good overview of how they design and build race cars (Indy/Champ cars that is), with tons of fantastic IMAX-quality film of testing and racing with Mario and Michael. They also have a guy restoring a car Mario raced in 1965, and end with him driving it through the fall scenery - all narrated by Paul Newman.

Content, audio, and video are top notch. If you have a DTS capable audio system and plasma TV it is a real, no-BS treat!

Great film-totally worth the rental. It's still occasionally available in stores, too.

Saw it in an IMAX theater. Makes a big plasma screen look like a cell phone video.

I own that video, it is really well done. My favorite scene is at the Cosworth lab though. Watching the exhaust pipes go from normal to nearly translucent red/orange in a matter of seconds. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

.... BTW, I was in the UK last week and read in one of the motor racing mags that the same guy that made "The Worlds Fastest Indian" is making a feature film about the life of Bruce Mclaren. That could be good!!

I saw the WFI. Good film. We watched it as a family and it was a real nice story.
