Racing at Zandvoort/NL

Well, I wasn't planning on putting the 1" pistons in the rear. By the way, I like the way you worked out setting the bias on the fly.

I felt at Scheivlak corner that there is something wrong with the brake bias. I turned the adjustment wheel 2 turns to the left but the spindle was blocked with sand so the adjustment remained in the same position which made the car over brake seriously on that sharp right hander.
Was an interesting feel as everything felt okay at first, than the rear felt like packed in cotton. I heard the rear wheels squeaking. Went off the brake, the grip returned and off I was. :cryin:
 
That valve is a work of art! Gorgeous..

I am sure vintage rules will not allow anything lower profile than 60 series for vintage racing, though some US sanctioning bodies such as HSR allow more latitude.

I used to use 205/50/15 Yokohama 032R in Solo 1 but thay did not really suit the irs very well, lots of grip but very sudden breakaway. Trailing throttle oversteer was the quick way into the corner.

I used a TR6 sway bar on the front, none on the rear, this helped reduce wheelspin out of second gear corners. My brake pads were Rewpco semi metallic (from Australia), but overall my car was not nearly as highly developed as yours.

The valve is a stock valve reshaped and polished. I'm on stock diameter.

I'm not sure if my car has any development. I think it is quite stock like.
I just replaced questionable things like the rods with cheap V8 rods. As these rods have a narrow big end the Mahle forged pistons center the rods. This might be development if you like.
The Yokos provide loads of grip but the problem is the narrow wheel with just 6" width. Too narrow for the tires but if you run them on 31 psi cold they are miracle to drive and very very fast and easy to drive.

I don't like sticky brake pads. I prefer mild pads for racing. Might save some tires too if the brake is not too harsh. I use EBC YS on front and stock shoes at rear. Kendall shoes at rear are great too but pricey.

I run much camber on front - 4.5 degree. Gives good cornering with a very stiff front swaybar 21mm and a 17mm rear swaybar. Both adjustable.

Nearly all things I've taken out of the Kas Kastner books. A great source of tested knowledge and still up to the task.
