Very, very sad. His son and two other people too.

McRae had run in the 24 Hours of LeMans and looked like he would continue with endurance racing. He was a joy to watch in a WRC car.

That is sad. He and Robert Burns were the drivers that really got me into watching Rally. They were amazing. It's all a little more bleak now.
