Some time ago, someone started a thread (I think it was Michael Orritt) about how one might quieten the exhaust noise level from a Healey. In spite of my best efforts to find the thread, I have been unable to do so and was wondering if a solution had been found. I recall Randy mentionned his Monza exhaust tips but I have not been able to source any that fits the 1.5inch dia. Healey tailpipes. I have been thinking about splicing in an aftermarket resonator on each pipe (e-type style) and wondered if anyone has had any success with this, or any other approach to dampening somewhat that distinctive Healey roar.
As always,thanks for the advice.

Short exhaust pipe reducers and expanders are available from most auto supply stores and certainly muffler shops.
