Quick...Someone buy this b4 I have to consider it!

Oh, man! It would be so cool to see the looks on everyone's faces, driving into work in that! Pretty good price too.

They are on LI. Just the thought of driving that on the LIE makes me shudder.

So, is that a kit car, or what?

Re: Quick...Someone buy this b4 I have to consider

Westfield built it as a replica of the Elevens. That'n looks to be a properly equipped car. Had a fella down here with an original Eleven with a 1600 TC. Wicked quick. As alan suggested, it's a bit frightening to drive in traffic tho: ~everything~ else on the road has lugnuts at your eye level. A pram would seem tall.

Re: Quick...Someone buy this b4 I have to consider

Oh I'd like it, probably more even than I'd like a 6, I just dont have the balls to drive it home (or the $ to buy it right now). It's only about 60 miles too, but taking that over the Triboro or the Throgs Neck is too scarey for me...

Re: Quick...Someone buy this b4 I have to consider

I'd drive that, whoot. Just might kick me out of the neighborhood though. Lets see if I can get to 8 grand at the end of the cove. Noop only 6, sigh.

But it'd sure keep the urchins up onna sidewalks where they belong, Jack!

Re: Quick...Someone buy this b4 I have to consider

They were made to take doner spridgets. The chassis and suspension were set up for that. Peter Egan built one and drove it to Wisconsin in his column "East by Westfield". I have seen a few of them. Lots to like. Pretty much a Seven with an aerodynamic body. This one has bigger tires than I have seen in the past. They look like Bias Ply Hoosier racing tires to me. They seem to sell for more than the Birkins, Caterhams, etc. I would not personally be afraid of that car, but then I'm into Sevens and English Fords.

There was a Westfield "dealer" outfit here near us a few years back. They were buying MkII Spridgets and putting the cars together for sale. Interesting.

*snork*... I remember that!

...the "Undo" comment. A "Father" walked past the +2 and carefully explained to "junior" that the center hub was a "pansy" way to secure a wheel... the five locating pins seemed to be of no consequence to the old man. I promptly got into the car and left with "verve"... never got feedback but I suspect "junior" got th' point. Just don't tow it "backwards!"

...sheesh.
