Questions with Hanging springs.

I am starting to re-assemble the 76 and I just started to hang the rear springs. No drivetrain in car yet. When I hang them, the springs are in front of the rear perches. Like they are too short or something. Did I do Something wrong or when I lower the car to the ground with all the parts back in it will it naturally stretch back behind the perch. Here's a pic if it helps.

You'll have to flip them around after you get partial weight on them. Then they should "set" and remain pointed in the correct direction.

My B did the same thing. It just takes some weight and time. Are they new springs?

orig springs. havent been in there in a while. builing this to race so was just worried that they look like they could "flip" back. But after I layed the rear atop of them it looks like the driveshaft would lessn that chance.

yep with weight on them they willlengthen and sit right ,don't tighten the hanger nuts up until all the weght is on the suspension so the bushes aren't stressed
