Questions that wives ask......

Louise never complains about the TR3A. I've owned it for 49 years and we've been married only 42 years. It's a great relationship. French girls are so . . .

I met her when I was 15 and bought the car when I was 20.

But she has one question . . .

Are you using solvent or spray paint again ?

My wife always asked why I was spending so much time working on my TR until she got the 230sl. Now, when she gets home she asks what I have got done to the car and have I got the parts ordered to repair anything that I might have mentioned before.

When I met her she was only interested in sedans & mini vans. I think she's coming around

Pete,
Sounds like the kind of questions I get. If things go well putting ours back together we will be visiting the Tweetsie on our way up the Blue Ridge Pkwy in July. Not to far from your part of the country.

You have it all wrong....you have to flip it the other way:

"Gee hun, too bad Volvo charges $300 each for a brake rotor for your car. I can get a pair for the TR for $80. Oh, and sorry to hear about that $2,000 clutch...I guess the new drapes will have to wait."

"You paid how much for that??!!"

My favorite rebuttal to that question:

Do you have any idea what it will cost in three years????

"It's a classic, we'll get the money back in spades, you'll see"
