Which way does the oil filter standoff go? Up or down?

Haha, yep.

Behind the canaster holder, alum, there is another alum bit that is angled should the angle go up or down. I just can not for the life of me remember and sure as heck would guess wrong.

Gotcha, Jack. In that case, the angle would be up. The bottom of the cannister should be further away from the oil pan than the top.

Great, that's just what I needed.

No pic in the manual, darn aftermarket Haynes.

I really need to spring for a real one, I am missing it.

"Visual reference" is a wonderful thing!

Hmmmmm. One picture, a thousand words? Don't have a digital camera, so I have to rely on the old MkI, ModI, eyeball, and relay the information. Of course, a good supply of visual reference material at hand helps immensely. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've recently upgraded me peepers: MkIII at this point. July 25th will see the left one getting ANOTHER upgrade.

Can't believe you haven't "caved" and gotten one of the "point-n-shoot" digi-cams yet. Don't get a really small one tho. You'll forget it in a shirt pocket and it'll get laundered.

Doc, I just haven't really seen the need for the digital yet. I have to update the computer before I go too far. This is the start of racing season, so you know where my budget is. Down the proverbial pipes.
Jeff

heh. Your priorities are just fine then! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

"one tire unit" = 1 tire = approx $100 to me! Cameras are getting cheap these days! At least, the point-n-shoot types are.
